The night I discovered the Energy of Plants changed my life.  It was late at night as I was laying on my living room floor deep in thought about Something – the kind of Something you just think about when you’re young.  I happened to look  up through the leaves of the plant I was under, and I saw the strangest thing.

There seemed to be a distortion in all of the air surrounding the leaves. I stared at it for a while and it didn’t go away, so eventually I stuck my hand out and touched it.  And it responded.

My hands could move it and draw it in and out, kind of like a magnet.  I could feel it, although subtle, and it felt amazing.  I was aware of a connection to the plant, as if it was teaching me beautiful music but in a visual way.

I played with the plant Qi for literally 4 hours, lost in complete fascination.  I didn’t know what it was, or why I had never noticed it before, but I knew it was something I intensely wanted in my life.  I remember thinking “Whatever this is, if there’s a job in this, THAT’S what I want to do!”

And here I am 30 some years later, and the energy has guided my entire career path, whether I was aware of it at the time or not.
One thing I’ve come to understand is that in some ways it doesn’t matter what you call it, there are many names:  Hands of Light, Reiki, Healing Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Quantum Healing, Medical QiGong…  They each have their own language and culture, yet the root is the same.

I connect very strongly with Medical QiGong, which has its foundation in Taoist philosophy and Chinese medicine.  Most of what I write about, teach, and use in my professional healing practice is influenced by this.

I’m excited to let the energy flow through this Blog and see where it leads us.  I’d also love to read your first experience with Energy if you care to share in the comments.

Wishing you unimaginable peace,
Cynthia
